Founded in 1976 under the name Bureau of Professional Interviewers, the company evolved into BIP Research, transitioning from a firm specialized in data collection to a company offering integrated solutions.

In 1988, Lucie Leclerc took the helm of the company, and under her leadership, BIP Research experienced sustained growth, establishing itself as a key player in the fields of social, political, and marketing research.

In 2023, the leadership team was strengthened by the addition of two new partners, Félix and Patrick, who bring renewed momentum to the company and actively contribute to its future.

Thanks to a diverse clientele and projects spanning a wide range of sectors, BIP Research has developed strong expertise by supporting its clients at every stage of their projects and responding precisely to their needs.

LUCIE LECLERC

PRESIDENT AND CEO

Lucie Leclerc has been leading BIP Research since 1988 with the passion and precision of a conductor, which is surely not unrelated to her musical training. She studied music at the Quebec Conservatory of Music as well as at Laval University and the University of Montreal. Enriched by an academic background as dynamic as it is versatile, her education also includes studies in law, communication, and marketing, as evidenced by her strong management skills.
Lucie has built a solid reputation in the field of surveys, having completed nearly 6,000 projects, some of which are unique in applied research. In 2006, she was invited to present the results of the longitudinal study “I Am, I Will Be” at an international conference in Oxford, in collaboration with the Quebec Institute of Statistics.
In addition to her achievements at BIP Research, Lucie stands out in the business and philanthropic worlds. A finalist for the Quebec Women’s Business Awards in 2012, she was recognized among the “Must-Knows” by Premières en affaires magazine in 2014, and received a certificate of recognition from ISQ at the ACFAS Congress in 2016.
She has served on several boards of directors, including that of the Quebec Conservatory of Music Foundation, where she successfully chaired a major fundraising campaign. Currently, she is a member of the advisory committee of BNP Philanthropy and chairs the scholarship committee of the Montreal Conservatory of Music.

PATRICK COURTEMANCHE

VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS
PARTNER

Working in surveys and marketing research since 1999, Patrick masters all aspects of managing research projects, whether quantitative or qualitative. He has led more than 1,000 projects, including telephone, web, and intercept surveys, often complex and large-scale. His expertise covers call center management, supervision of survey teams, sampling techniques, research tool design, data analysis, and statistical processing, which he deeply masters, including univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analyses.
Patrick stands out for his proactivity and ability to manage complex projects while establishing a climate of trust with clients, thereby ensuring the success of assignments.
With a background in Political Science and an MBA for executives, he fully understands business challenges and knows how to communicate them appropriately to each type of client.
As Operations Manager, Patrick ensures methodological guidance, monitors data collection, and supervises technical teams. He also advises on weighting and data processing.
Working with Patrick means benefiting from a clear understanding of projects from their conception, expertise in research methodologies and statistical analysis, as well as rigorous support on sampling scenarios and weighting. He offers tailored and effective solutions.

FÉLIX LEBLANC

VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE
PARTNER

Self-taught and serial entrepreneur, Félix launched his own businesses at a very young age, which he then developed and sold. He is now in his third executive experience and continues to actively contribute to the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Employed at BIP Recherche since 2014, Félix is responsible for research and web development, having played a major role in the development of custom web applications and platforms. At the same time, he also holds the position of Finance Director, where he applies his knowledge of agile administrative management to project management.
Félix masters technical project management and approaches bottlenecks as challenges to be solved. He has managed and executed dozens of projects in web and software development, as both project manager and product designer. Previously, as Vice President of Sales at OVA, a company specialized in virtual and augmented reality, he strongly contributed to the global marketing of their StellarX software.
